What Positions Are Available?

The Leadership Seminar Chair (LSC) plays the lead role in coordinating the seminar committee efforts and ensuring committee assignments are completed in a timely fashion.

Volunteers in this role should be 25+ years of age.

Facilitators directly oversee a small group of ambassadors (typically 8-10) during the Leadership Seminar weekend and facilitate their development.

Volunteers in this role should be 21+ years of age.

Team Alumni are peer volunteers who assist during the seminar with small groups, program execution, seminar operations, and keeping the overall attitude and environment positive.

Volunteers in this role should be 16-20 years of age.

A Fundraising Team Member ensures that HOBY DC is financially accessible and that all ambassadors have the opportunity to attend HOBY regardless of monetary-related barriers. They assist in fundraising events, writing grants and/or building relationships with donors.

Volunteers in this role can be any age.

A Program/Operations Team Member helps to plan seminar programming, and works behind the scenes during the seminar to coordinate speaker arrivals, set up for activities, prepare materials, and execute other operational tasks.

Volunteers in this role can be any age.

A Recruitment Team Member is a vital part of the overall effort to ensure that as many ambassadors have the opportunity to attend HOBY as possible. They support the strategy and execute on the vision of the Director of Recruitment, helping the site reach its recruitment goal.
